As another year comes to a close, we like to look back at old photos and think of good times. Berlin, December 2010

Berlin: the creative center of Europe, home to low rent, cheap beer, graffiti, the Turkish community's Döner kebabs, paprika crisps and pretzels, wide open plan streets, a vibrant and visible queer, and bike, culture, and a plethora of clubs, independent shops, museums and art squats. All of this meshed together in a city that has a played a pivotal role in European history over the past one hundred years.

Been by D'Heygere

I met Belgian designer Steph D'heygere at the JC de Castelbajac show in Paris. A former intern for the fashion house, we got talking about his latest collection when she told me she was showcasing her work as part of a Belian collective for the Flanders Fashion Institute.

I've got to say, her clothing is probably the most enjoyable I'd seen throughout the whole of Paris Fashion Week. Using digital printing to create fruit patterns on leggins and shorts is genius and not only was the design hot, but the branding and packaging is spot on too. 'Been by D'Heygere's website is worth checking out for the lookbook alone.

Cash 4 Gold? I'll take the Gold...

When Christmas comes around things tend to get a little overwhelming and it takes at least until January 5th for my brain to register everything I've digested (the food, gifts and movies). That's why early gifts are always special!

For a good few months I've been peering in the window of Folli Follie, St Enoch Centre with the dream of getting a the gold watch to match my mustard suit and this Christmas it came true.
