Last week I met up Hormazd Narielwalla, friend and artist in residence at Dege & Skinner in London’s Savile Row, to discuss his upcoming exhibition in Athens as part of Ozon magazine’s 4Fashionshake III.
Narielwalla explained that ‘Fairy-God, Fashion-Mother’ is a collection of drawings inspired by fashion lover Diane Pernet. This iconic figure is brought to life using images, paper dresses from the ATOPOS archive, pattern drafts extracted from a Victorian pattern-cutting book and discarded Savile Row patterns.
Narielwalla's work has also been featured in i-D, New York Times, Topman and at Paul Smith's Albermarle Street Gallery
