Monday evenings, especially as the nights are getting darker and the days shorter, are usually reserved for the mundane: food shopping, gym going, second round of Sunday paper reading, eating, and eventually sleeping. Pretty standard and uneventful. On Monday this was turned upside down as I arrived at The Modern Pantry in Farringdon for the private viewing of
Hormazd Narielwalla’s exhibiton ‘Fairy-God, Fashion Mother’.
Diane Pernet, Narielwalla's muse and the force behind
A Shaded View On Fashion, was flown over from Paris for the event, and I had the pleasure of joining them both for dinner at
da Polpo in Covent Garden, along with 10 other close friends and colleagues, following the viewing. It was a special, intimate, and memorable evening.
