Over the past few years I've taken 1000's of photographs while traveling throughout Europe. This winter I exhibited 'Parallel People' at Atelier Jim Haynes, a showcase of 18 photographs. Over time, a conversation emerges through the lens between people who've never even met. Whether it's Paris, Glasgow, London, Manchester or Berlin - we are all connected.

The photos from this exhibition are now on sale.
Each print comes in 8x10 format and is individually numbered and signed for the exhibition.

Individual Prints: £15 / 20€
Set Pair Prints: £25 / 30€

To buy prints, please email JDP@JonathanDanielPryce.com and state the title and number of photograph.
Only one print per image was exhibited & will go on a first come, first serve basis.

Arms

1. On a trip to Berlin in 2010 I met Marc, a student and model living in Mitte. He toured me around his neighbourhood and gave the insiders guide to his city – the best way to see a new place.
2. Stevie, the boy in this photograph, became a recognisable face in Glasgow nightlife due to his ever evolving style. Last year he moved to Manchester to study fashion design, so on a trip down we decided to meet. His getup didn't disappoint.

The Work

1. Continuing the Cruise project, I stopped in Leicester. This builder was an authentic cheekie-chappie type: full of charm, energy and chat. Meeting people of varying professions, overwhelmingly I've found people who work with their hands to be the happiest.
2. This summer I collaborated with British boutique Cruise to document style in cities across the UK. I traveled from Aberdeen to Belfast to Newcastle and photographed nearly 500 people on the way. This photo was an outtake from a picture taken in Derby of a builder on his lunch.

Red Rogue

1. This summer my collaborator Daniel and I photographed the graduate collection of Antonio Guerra on location in London. In the midst of photo-madness, we spotted a figured covered in red making its way towards us. It turned out it was a lady, born and bred in the East End, on her way to get groceries. She was more than willing to have her photograph taken, telling us about her extensive selection of co-ordinating clothes and accessories.
2. Seeing a man wearing a kilt in Glasgow is a rarity, usually withheld to entertainers on Buchanan Street or tourists. This Canadian gentleman was the latter. Coming from Scottish descent, he was passionate about the history of his ancestors and described in great detail his disgust with the Glaswegian tradition of covering the Duke of Wellington statue with a traffic cone.

Bike

1. After a gruelling schedule of shows during Paris Fashion Week, I exited the Jardin de Tuilleries and spotted Glaswegian-in-Paris Jamie. I love it when a unique personality can be portrayed externally, and I think his unwavering positive energy is really present here.
2. As part of the Cruise Style Project, I photographed this girl on her way to work in Newcastle. Often it's difficult to get a good shot in busy locations and this was taken on the most popular shopping street in the city. Luckily, her embarrassment didn't get the better of her.

Two

1. Often I'm surprised by strangers reactions when I ask to take their photo, which is part of the excitement in street photography. I found this man quite intimidating when I first spotted in, standing well over 6 foot tall and sternly focused on the road ahead of him as he walked. When I caught up with him, he turned out to be one of the friendliest people I photographed in Leicester that day.
2. In 2009, I worked with British department store House of Fraser to find 5 of the most stylish people in Scotland. This photograph on an architect named Matthias was featured in their store window on Buchanan Street and was a proud moment for me as a photographer.

Lid

1. Nadia, creator of the fashion blog Froufrouu, is a regular at London Fashion Week and this photograph was taken at the AW11 shows at Somerset House. A testament to true personal style is the ability to create many looks, Nadia always keeps us guessing while still staying true to herself.
2. Avoiding a sea of tourists in Covent Garden, London in nearly impossible. This local clearly knows the drill: stand back and let the masses pass. There are times when all elements of a photograph come together and for me, this was one of them.

Smoking

1. This was the first street photograph I ever captured. Taken outside the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, the subject of the picture ended up becoming one of my closest friends. To me it represents one of the romantic facets to Paris.
2. Waiting is a large part of Fashion Week. Waiting to arrive at the shows, waiting to go in, waiting for them to start. This image captures two pro's outside the Walter Van Beirendonch show in Le Marais.

Back

1. I've been an admire of Karl-Edwin Guerre for a while. Not just for his photography but also his distinctive style. Despite the overwhelming heat in this years Indian Summer, he still managed to pull off a wool blazer at Paris Fashion Week.
2. Outtakes from fashion shoots are often more interesting than the images that get selected to go to print. This was taken from a shoot for Les Garçons de Glasgow nearly Shoreditch, East London.

Bricks

1. Intimidating youth culture is a hot topic in the UK, particularly after the England Riots. This shot was taken a year before the 2011 riots in Manchester, and displays the faceless individuals who are usually at the centre of the controversy.
2. Staying with Jim Haynes is always a pleasure and this is a self-portrait from one of my first stays with him, near his atelier in Paris. The 14 arrondissement may be known for the Tour Montparnasse skyscraper, but it's the brickwork in the oldest architecture that interests me.
